Back then you carried your resume with you. Today you email it. Today, instead of asking about you're experience, they may ask what you think are stupid questions?
Let me tell a story: My friend Josh flew to Wisconsin from
Florida for a job interview. As interviews go they said thank you, we will be in touch?
How many callbacks do you get?
Well sometimes you get lucky, or is it just preparation? They did fly Josh back for the second interview. They had been interviewing for one year; the interviewers asked why was he such an excellent interview?
The answer, it was preparation, its called Table Topics (TT). As a member of St. Petersburg Toastmasters Club 2284, Josh was refining his speaking/interview skills at every Toastmaster meeting. Table Topics is extemperously speaking; yes it teaches you how to answer those unknown questions. Exactly why Josh got hired!
