The Smartest Man in the World?

Let us call him Albert; aka as in Albert Einstein.

Last evening I watched the History Channel documentary on the life of Albert Einstein. Here I want to tell you the true story of my friend Albert.

When you are so lucky to have shared half a lifetime with him; I wondered then how will I tell his amazing story?  

Defining the depth of his mind, the precise way he approaches every subject;  just imagine, he is a math genius, he has a Wikipedia mind, and the ability to create, fix or build almost anything when he applies himself, or even be Clarence Darrow when necessary.

You can choose to chat on any subject with Albert, he may say he knows nothing about the subject, never believe him. With the depth of intellect of any great teacher, he will astound you.

He built the search engine before anyone; I know I was there, just to be turned down by a group of venture capitalists, just two years before, the world learned about the search engine.

At the height of the Dot.Com rage to build a stock trading program that was 99% accurate.

When he was interested in the Amway business model; he told them their math was wrong, they changed it, and most likely they never even thanked him for how the change contributed to their great success.

Have you heard of Reciprocal Discounting, probably not?  When bartering was a rage, Albert created a way that the barterers would profit in dollars from the trade'. Because the bartering model never pays you the cost of your item; with Reciprocal Discounting it does.  He believed this model could change the economy of the country, if not the world. This was never implemented, I am not sure why.

The truth is I do know; it is called honesty. Let me explain?

The day trading program had never before been done, yes there were stock trading clubs, but this model had never been done. Because he never does anything without completely researching the project first. Many people in the know said this was a gray area and the SCC may not approve it. Albert decided to refund all the investors money, instead of gambling with it. It's called honesty.

With the search engine, the investors were afraid to make a large investment in something they could not understand.

Reciprocal Discounting it was believed the IRS may not approve, even thou the best accounting firms were used to be sure everything was legal. The result, stick it back on the self, maybe forever.

How can one be called the smartest man in the world; the qualifications are steep. He or she must be able

 to converse on virtually any subject. He must create and invent ideas, programs, software that have never been 

seen before.

What if you created one page of code to replace 4,000 lines of code?   Then you show your must simplified code to

200 programmers and they don't understand it's the simplification, and refuse to implement it?

The code was developed to simplify their jobs, but was viewed as a tool that could replace some jobs?

Albert Einstien, after hundreds of years, changed how the world thought about Newton's theory of gravity;

 could one man create one page of code, or one search engine and one group of venture capitalists, and 200 

programmers be wrong?  Yes, the circumstances are different, but in reality, the venture capitalists were not willing to invest in the future and in something they did not understand.  Then, in reality, were the programmers in

truth were afraid of being one day being replaced?

Just remember, as no one believed Albert Einstein theories it took many years before the world recognized his

 genius.  As most will never meet my Albert, and the world most likely know how he may have influenced their lifes.

From the time when Newton watched the apple fall from the tree, and Albert Einstien believed the theory

 was flawed; as the search engine has changed our lives, Alberts one page of code will change and simplify

 many millions of lives, unknowingly, and now testing thousands of lines of code will only take minutes.

Today thanks to Tim Berners Lee we have the code that runs the world.
Today as never before, the next Albert maybe 10 years old is coding in their bedroom, ready to possibly unknowingly change

our lives? 

It is interesting how my mother said "an apple a day will keep the doctor away" and it did.  How interesting it is

how the apple from a tree, and an Apple on a phone, and an apple in your tummy, have changed our lives.

In closing, change is coming, Artificial Intelligence and the Blockchain are coming, and whether you flip hamburgers

 or write software your life is going to change because the NEXT Albert is on the horizon.
